Sacred Choral Music
Holy Week in Spain, and the sacred music that surrounds it, is like nothing else in the world.
This journey pairs the Festival Internacional de Arte Sacro with the ancient Holy Week traditions in Madrid and Toledo.
Madrid & Toledo
8–9 nights · Late March 2027
In Madrid:
3-4 FIAS concerts in some of the city’s most beautiful sacred spaces—the Royal Palace Chapel, the Basilica de San Miguel, the Teatros del Canal.
Past artists have included William Christie & Les Arts Florissants, Tiento Nuovo, La Ritirata, and Forma Antiqva.
Holy Week processions and liturgical celebrations throughout the city.
In Toledo:
One night in this deeply historic city. A sacred music concert if programming allows, and the Holy Week processions—cofradías moving through medieval streets by candlelight, some beginning at midnight.
